Roundtop: 
Classes at the Bybee Square: Classes of all type are offered year round by nationwide artisans who have made their home in Round Top (times and dates vary and for all ages).

Concerts at Festival Hill Institute: Monthly classical music concerts are held throughout the year, and the summer concert youth series brings together young adults from all over the world. The International Guitar Festival is held between the second and third weekend of February and includes herbal symposiums, poetry forums and more! The 217 acre complex is open 24-7 with a historical home and church to tour as well as hiking and biking in the area.

Narciso Martinez Writers Forum:
Sponsored by Narciso Martinez Cultural Arts Center. Come develop your writing skills and share your talent with this creative group. Conducted 1st Tuesday. Contact Beto Conde at 350-3905.           

"El Second Weensdee:" A cultural heritage program sponsored by Narciso Martinez Cultural Arts Center, 255 E. Stenger each 2nd Wednesday of month at 7 p.m. except September & November. Call 956-399-0110.

Market Day in downtown San Benito (Plaza de San Benito: Sponsored by San Benito Chamber of Commerce, in Plaza de San Benito at 210 E. Heywood, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The event is an open-air bazaar where live music, arts and crafts, and people, come together for fun and profit. It includes festive activities including live entertainment and performances from our many talented student choirs, bands and other musical groups, taste-tempting treats at food booths and selling handmade and one-of-a-kind items at bargain prices. Market Days vendors may rent open space at a rate of $15 by contacting the San Benito Chamber of Commerce at 399-5321. Tables will be rented for $3.00 each. Chamber members receive discounts, and all participating Chamber members will be recognized in promotion of the events. Food booths will be limited. No flea market or garage sale booths allowed

September 6: Winters Dove Fest 2008, Winters
"Celebrating Our Hunting Heritage" is the theme for Winters Dove Fest. The all-day festival includes a Hunters Appreciation Barbecue, musical entertainment, wildlife displays and exhibits, silent and live auctions and lots of door prizes. Also, don't miss the fabulous Gun & Knife Show, the Arts & Crafts Show and the Clay Pigeon Fund Shoot.  For more infomraiton, visit www.winters-texas.us/events.htm.

 
September 7-16: 5th Annual “Reflections of Texas” Art Exhibit, Luling
The 10-day art exhibit is a wonderful venue for Texas artists to display their work. Held at the Luling Oil Museum, donated artwork will be auctioned off benefiting the museum.  In honor of Edgar B. September 13: Cotton Boll Festival, Ralls
An all day celebration of cotton and cotton farming. Come and meet Mr. & Mrs. Cotton Boll who represent the people and industry of Ralls. The day begins with a harvest blessing, followed by the opening of vendor booths including arts & crafts, as well as food. There is a pancake breakfast, live entertainment and children's activities throughout the day. September 27-28: 2nd Annual Lost Pines NatureFest, TPWD Paddle Trail Launch & US Aluminum Canoe Championships, Bastrop
Throughout the day, nature-based non-profit organizations will provide educational, experiential activities for the 3entire family such as kayaking, archery, nature hikes, scavenger hunts, bus and reptile shows, story telling and reenactments about El Comino Real and the lower Colorado River.  Artisans will display arts and crafts made from natural items, photography, etchings, as well as cedar and pine furniture.  New to this year's event is the US Aluminum Canoe Championships and the Nature Fest's Kids Challenge.  For more information, visit www.environmental-stewardship.org/.

 
October 4: 3rd Annual J'ville Music Jam, Jacksonville

October 4: 8th Annual Victorian Festival , Calvert
A glorious day filled with lots of fun events where there is something for everyone!  A Main Street Fair, a Victorian Tea and a Victoria Gala are just some of the unique events you will find.  Come and celebrate American History in the 1880's.  The Calvert "Victorian Festival" is the perfect opportunity to learn about the history of Calvert, be delighted by our costumed characters depicting actual historic and fictional people, as well as to develop your own character and costumes, making the "Victorian Festival" just that much more enjoyable for everyone.  Visit http://www.calverttx.com/ for more information.

 
October 4: Davy Crockett Festival, Honey Grove
This annual event honors the legend of Davy Crockett who camped in Honey Grove on his way to fight at the Alamo. Camping in a grove of trees, he wrote back to friends in Tennessee that when he was through with the skirmish at the Alamo, he would return and settle in this beautiful honey grove.  His friend Samuel Erwin came to find the place where Davy camped, and when he did he settled here and named the town Honey Grove.  The day will be filled with food, games, entertainment, crafts, antique tractor show, bicycle rodeo and much more.  For more information, visit www.cityofhoneygrove.org/.

 
October 4: Piney Woods Cowboy Gathering, Linden

The 2nd Annual Piney Woods Cowboy Gathering recognizes Texas' working cowboys, rewards Texas pride and helps to preserve and celebrate the rich western heritage of Texas. October 11: Depot Day, Gainesville

Hosted by the Main Street Program, the 22nd annual Depot Day Celebration will be held in downtown Gainesville around the historic Cooke County courthouse square.  Exciting activities are scheduled such as an antique car show, musical entertainment, Kids Zone, gunfighters and wagon rides, arts and crafts, festival foods and a fish fry and the unveiling of new Legends and Lore additions to the Historic Walking Tour.  Also enjoy after dark, musical entertainment by "Me and My Monkey" - a Beatles cover band.  For more information, visit www.gainesville.tx.us.

 
October 11: Pioneer & Heritage Festival, Rusk
Step back in time to the whistle of a steam train, where the train depot is overrun with cowboys, Civil War soldiers and all manners of pioneer demonstrators. Yorktown's Western Days Festival is a fun boot scootin', foot stompin'  Performances. FREE family fun. October 18: FallFest, Clifton
Formerly known as OktoberFest, this festival encompasses the many aspects that Clifton has to offer.  A nationally recognized Quilt Auction, art show and one of the best car shows in Texas are highlights of this event.  Plus an entertainment stage, children's area, arts and crafts vendors and much for family fun.  Don't miss the German Dinner and Dance at the end of the evening to celebrate and embrace Clifton's German heritage.  For more information, visit www.clifton.centraltx.com/.

 
October 18: Llano County Heritage Day Festival, Llano

The Llano County Heritage Day Festival was established in 1990 after a celebration to dedicate Llano being listed in the National Register of Historical Places. This event is held near the historic Llano County Courthouse Square. Enjoy a day on the square celebrating heritage with music, food, historical re-enactments and historic displays. Celebrating a unique cultural and educational experience in Madisonville, Texas. The Texas Mushroom Festival promotes agricultural, culinary and fine arts in East Texas. November 1: Utopia Arts and Crafts Fall Fair, Utopia

The Utopia Arts and Crafts Fall Fair fills the town square with booths of original, handcrafted items being sold by the artisans themselves. Demonstrations of crafts' creation, music and story-telling provide fun and entertainment. Come see this wide variety of original art and handcrafts.

 
November 1: George West Storyfest, George West

A family festival featuring storytelling, cowboy poets, music, arts and crafts, living history and a classic car show.  There will also be a children's activity area, food, a red wagon parade and street dance. November 11: Veterans Day, San Benito
A parade honoring all military personnel is conducted down Sam Houston Blvd. with marching bands, veterans and flags. Begins at 8:50 in front of City Hall.

 
November 22: Concho County Camouflage Cotillion, Eden

The Concho County Camouflage Cotillion is a Hunter's Appreciation Dinner and Dance. "Formal Attire" required - meaning anything camouflage, and if you really want to go ALL OUT, just add the right accessories in Hunter Orange. Family fun includes a delicious home cooked meal, door prizes, drawings, delicious temptations for Venison World and unique camouflage hair stylin' irons by Chi for that "dear one."
