Hometown STARS Header The Hometown STARS (Supporting Tourism and Rural Success) matching fund reimbursement program is designed to help rural communities leverage the dollars they have available to promote tourism events, which in turn boosts local economies and attracts new jobs and dollars. The program reimburses GO TEXAN Certified Rural Communities for half of approved promotional costs up to $10,000. Hometown STARS is a matching fund program for communities with experience managing their tourism programs and a budget that will accommodate the matching dollars required. This program is subject to the availability of state funds. At this time, funds for Hometown STARS are depleted through August 2011. Please check the Web site often for updates.

Bootstrap Bucks Header The Bootstrap Bucks reimbursement grant program is designed to help rural communities promote tourism events. Approved GO TEXAN Certified Rural Communities can use up to $2,500 in reimbursable funds for one of four eligible promotional items: posters, large signage (billboards/banners), newspaper/magazine advertisements and radio/television spots. This program is subject to the availability of state funds. At this time, funds for Bootstrap Bucks are depleted through August 2011. Please check the Web site often for updates.
